There is also an archeological museum, Calima Darién, which offers an exciting journey through the pre-Spanish history of the valley. Another museum, In the city of Aimaime, is the only museum in the world that is dedicated entirely to the cultivation of sugarcane.

Other worthvile visits are, among many others, the gold museum, the theater Buenaventura, the settlement of San Antonia, the Rayo museum and La Ermita. One of the most important holy places in Colombia is the basilica of Buga, which houses a famous image of Christ called El Señor de los Milagros.
